A few people have asked what spec my car is going to be. Though it may be somewhat obvious if you actually bother to read any of the rest of my site, I thought I would put the spec down on its own page.

The Basics:
Model - GTS Panther
Chassis - Tubular spaceframe, De Dion rear axle with full length Sierra half shafts. Wide track front wishbones with Cortina uprights
Suspension - Independent front, De Dion rear. GAZ adjustable coilover shocks all round. 325lb front springs, 175lb rears.
Brakes - Wilwood powelite 4 pot forged aluminium calipers and smart pads at front. Standard drums and ferodo shoes at rear
Steering - Mk2 Escort rack and Sierra column, lengthened intermediate column
Exhaust - MK Engineering stainless steel 4 into 1 free flowing with straight through silencer, headers wrapped with graphite impregnated heat wrap to reduce under bonnet temperatures.
Gearbox - Ford Sierra type 9, 5 speed box, standard ratios, fitted with gear remote to move stick back 5"
Clutch - Standard 8.5" single plate
Final Drive - standard open 7" Sierra differential, 3.92 ratio
Bodywork - full GRP - Lemon yellow
Interior - GRP bucket seats with 4 point harnesses, aluminium panels, vinyl covered tunnel top and 'boot' cover
Dashboard - carbon effect ABS sheet. Aim MXL Pro digital dashboard showing: rpm, shift lights, speed, oil pressure/temp, water temp, lateral and fore/aft G sensor, virtual track mapping
Windscreen - GTS aeroscreen
Heater - none - the nice warm exhaust on my side!
Wheels - Wolfrace 15" Sniper fitted with 195/50-15 Nankang Ultra Sport NS2 tyres
Lights - Front: SVC 5.75" halogen headlights w/sidelight. Rear: Landrover Defender S2 rear lights.

Engine:
2 litre ford pinto 205 block, completely stripped and rebuilt, new brgs, rings, honed
Lightened flywheel and ARP bolts
'Wide Beam' Injection conrods (statically balanced) - good for 7300rpm continuous
High capacity and high pressure Kent Cams oil pump
Kent FR33 Camshaft, followers and springs
Alloy vernier pulley
Ported inlet and exhaust ports (Stage 2), std size valves
Twin 45DCOE carbs on matched manifold, ITG foam filters, Pacet fast road fuel pump with pressure regulator.
H&H Ignition Solutions modified distributor and electronic ignition system

Performance:
0-60mph - <5seconds
Top speed - 120mph ish
Weight - 625kg wet
