There are several errors in the Ron Champion book. Over time a list will be built up here, with the help of a few people hopefully. If you know of an error that is not listed, use the form below:

All the errors will be included on this page eventually. Some have been corrected in the second edition of the book, others are still there, so just be aware of them. Page numbers in [] refer to second edition.

• There are several errors in the cutting list, I havent got time to go through and identify them, but if you know of any specific ones pleae let me know. The tip here is measure each piece individually and cut it as you need it.
• The top wishbone doesnt have enough offset to get the required self centring, or give 5.3deg castor angle. the offset should be 22mm, not 11mm as shown in the book! [Page 83 Fig 7.11]
• Page59 Fig4.25. If you are using the Herald metalistic bushes the holes in the brakets needs to be 3/8" or 9.5mm, not 8mm as is shown in the diagram!
• Page61 Fig:4.29 [Page 64 Fig 4.35] shows the distance between the trailing arms at the chassis brackets as 146mm. But the length of the axle bracket is shown as 160mm on Page 68 [Page72] with 110mm between centres. Not enough to have parallel trailing arms. You need to either lengthen the axle brakets, or weld the brackets onto the chassis closer together (i.e. 110mm apart.)
