It's my Birthday on the 5th...I actually made it to 21!! If you want to send me a present, send me some donations ;-)

I doubt much will happen on the car itself this month as I have very little spare cash.

Maybe something will turn up here though...who knows! Check back later in the month.

Compressor
I have bought myself a compressor. I have been hankering after one for a long time, though have not been able to afford the £140 for a decent one. However when I was offered one for £60 I couldnt resist. Clarke Tiger 8/35 (see Machine Mart site for details). Just need to get some tools for it. Mainly just want it to use as an air line and for spraying, but obviously has many other uses in a kit build.

Trailing Arms and Panhard Rod
Now I have the complete suspension set for the front and back of the car. And of course the components are of the highest quality as to be expected from GTS! They are designed to take the GTS polybushes. The end of the panhard rod without a bushing tube takes a 1/2"UNF x 1/2" bore rose joint. This is the end which attaches to the de dion axle, and just allows for a little bit of adjustment. Cost; £73.50 for the lot.

Wheels
I got myself a set of old Capri Lazer wheels (13x6J) for £50 from EBay. My dad is going to pick them up for me next weekend. They arent in perfect condition (as you would expect) but they are good enough to get the car on its wheels, and to drive around on for a while. Two of the rims are in very good condition indeed, on has had a bash on the rim, and the other two have light scuff all around the edge of the rim. The insides of the wheels were totally black and looked like they hadnt been cleaned for about 20 years. It took a day to get them clean, and suprisingly they weren't too bad under all that muck, with just some very light corrosion starting to show through. 2 have very good Avon tyres fitted, the other 3 are fitted with knackered tyres. But they will be clad with sometime half decent to get the car on the road, then fitted with super sticky tyres when money allows! At a cost of around £35 per wheel, they can be refurbished to look like new, so they might get done at a later stage.
