Another set of Carbs

Picked up a set of 45 DCOE carbs to upgrade my 40's after SVA (cant be bothered to set them back up again before hand!). They will also be able to cope with the extra tuning the engines going to get after SVA, which the 40's wont be. So the 40's will be up for sale in a couple of months time!

They are pretty much set up for a pinto, so thats saved some money too! They are a pair of 45 DCOE 13s #s 1K and 4H. The only difference between them is one carb has removeable progression hole covers, the other doesnt. However the important bit is the TIPO (13) numbers are the same, and the progression holes are identical. If they arent then you can have problems when it comes to tuning!

Mocal Filler Cap

Its come to my attention that it may be worth covering the back of my car for SVA purposes, this means a different type of filler cap. So off ebay came a brand new Mocal 3" aero cap, and all for £10! Nice and shiney, and lockable too which should keep even the pickiest SVA man happy. This will be fitted on the top panel which is going to cover the boot area of my car.

SVA Application

Well the SVA form's been sent off, asked for a date around the first week of July, so I just have to wait to get my appointment letter back now! Got a dreat long list of jobs still to do though, so I need to find time between now and then to do them!

Rev Limiter

Electronic single stage rev limiter, with way more functionality i need. Its actually got wires for 4 coils, and a shift cut feature for full throttle upshifts on bike engines. And its adjustable from about 2k to 25k rpm. Silly really, and only £50. It will get fitted after SVA.
