Electronic Distributor

I decided to treat myself to a modified electronic distributor to replace my current standard points system. I decided to go this route after speaking to H&H Ignition Solutions as they certainly seemed to know what they were talking about when it came to ignition systems! The amplifier is built into the side of the distributor body which offers a much neater solution than most after market electronic ignition systems. I opted for a dry coil rather than the standard oil filled type. Oil filled coils can boil over if used in high performance applications and the dry coil was a no cost option. The wiring is also kept simple, a 12V positive feed is needed for the amp, which is simply supplied from the coil, and the other wire is the negative coil connection. I was also supplied with a rev limiting rotor arm. The total cost was £210 including delivery, and free furture modifications if I change the state of tune of my engine. All in all a very good deal!
